OCEAN---PINES---FLOWERS
Property
Location: Half-way between Seal Rock and Waldport;
12 miles south of Newport, Oregon. Our rentals are on three
heavily wooded acres on an exclusive enclave facing the ocean. They are
down and away from highway noise, with private, gradually sloped beach
access from a medium bank. Easy for young and old alike. There are
miles of pristine wide beach and driftwood; at the far end are
fascinating tide pools with starfish and mussels; there is year-round
crabbing from the Waldport docks and Alsea Bay and charter deep-sea
fishing from Newport. Kids of all ages love it!
This property has historical interest, having been
the home of the York Fuschia Gardens in the '40's to '60's, which
shipped 1500 varieties of fuschias all over the United States. In the
big hurricane of '62, all three greenhouses were blown down and the
owners packed up and left. No one tended the fuchsias, rhodies and
shrubs until we came along in 1988 and slowly made it into our "Garden
of Weeden". You can walk the grounds (and even pull a few weeds) if you
feel so inclined. Or you may make your own fresh flower arrangement.

For reservations, call for open dates suitable to
you. We will block the dates for approximately 10 days until we receive
a check or money for 1/2 rent, at which time we will notify you that
the money has been received and that the dates are confirmed. Please
note that we do not accept credit cards.
Payments: by cash, check, money order, or cashier's check.
Instructions in confirmation letter.

Cleaning fee is $65 for the A-Frame or
cottage.
The A-frame is dog friendly (woof). Dog rates: $10 per night per dog
(regardless of size), with a maximum of three dogs. Dogs must never be
left alone on the property. No cats.
There is a minimum Security Deposit of $100, depending on length of
stay, which is to be payed by separate check and will be returned if no
damages occur.
We have many repeat
guests. They love the beauty and tranquility of the secluded setting,
the sunsets and the always-changing ocean, including the winter storms.
